Why website care matters

Updates are an ongoing job.

Website software and extensions need updates to address security weaknesses, fix faults and maintain compatibility. We check, back up, update and review your website as part of Managed Website Care.

Managing it yourself?

You are responsible for keeping your website software and extensions updated. Some paid extensions may require your own subscription to access updates.

Letting us look after it?

Updates for our standard extensions are covered by our agency subscriptions while your Managed Website Care plan is active. Specialist extensions and services needing a separate subscription are quoted separately.

Security protection reduces risk but cannot guarantee that a website will never be compromised. Server protection is provided across both packages; Managed Website Care adds website-level protection and ongoing maintenance.
When a larger change is needed

Major upgrades, clearly quoted.

Moving to a major new version of your website software can require compatibility checks, replacement extensions and additional testing. This work is separate from routine updates and is quoted after a review, before we begin.

New functionality, redesigns and unrelated technical repairs are also quoted separately.

Are content changes covered?

Content changes are separate: £45 + VAT per agreed update, or £49 + VAT per month for up to one hour. Unused monthly content time does not roll over.

Are paid extension updates covered?

Managed Website Care covers updates for our standard extensions under our agency subscriptions. Specialist subscriptions are quoted separately. Self-managed clients may need their own paid subscriptions.

Are major software upgrades covered?

Major-version upgrades are quoted separately after a compatibility review. Routine supported software and extension updates are part of Managed Website Care.

What happens if my website is hacked?

Hacked website recovery is a separate service at £150 + VAT per incident, subject to an initial assessment. Extensive repairs or rebuilding are quoted separately.

Are domains and email covered?

Domain renewals and email services are separately itemised.

Can you maintain an existing website?

We review its condition and compatibility before confirming a package. Any initial remedial work is quoted separately.
